Course Overview
This 5-month program runs from June to October 2024. Throughout the course, you’ll receive support from tutor-students who will guide you in both academic work and practical implementation in your schools.
Approval Requirements
To successfully complete the course, participants must meet the following criteria:
∙ 80% attendance rate for theoretical classes. Only one absence is permitted for in-person sessions to qualify for the board-certified completion credit.
∙ Submission and approval of a final integrative project presenting findings using the EDIA tool through qualitative analysis.
Course Format
The program combines in-person class sessions, asynchronous virtual activities, and practical implementation in educational institutions. This blended approach includes theoretical training and implementation of activities in participants’ own classrooms, with ongoing support from our team of tutors.
In-Person Class Sessions:
- Class Session 1: June 1
- Class Session 2: June 8
- Class Session 3: July 27
- Class Session 4: August 24
- Class Session 5: September 28
- Class Session 6 & Final Evaluation: October 26
Schedule: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
Location: University Campus (Specific auditorium TBA – participants will be notified via email).
Asynchronous Virtual Activities
These online tasks are designed to be completed during the periods between in-person sessions. They’ll be made available on the course website on specific Wednesdays throughout the program – not every Wednesday, just those we’ll notify you about via email when they’re ready to access.
Practical Implementation in Schools
You will implement the EDIA tool directly with your students during the program. Comprehensive guidance will be provided during Asynchronous Activity 3 and In-Person Session 4. This phased approach ensures you first develop familiarity with the tool through earlier coursework before applying it in your classroom.
