Class Summary
In our fourth session on August 24, we explored how AI language models learn, how they derive meaning, and where their knowledge originates. We also examined the social risks these systems might generate, with particular focus on issues of bias and polarization.
During the session, we conducted practical activities using ready-to-use classroom materials – including unplugged (offline) exercises – and demonstrated how to implement them on the EDIA platform.
Worksheet we worked with
Next week, we’ll be sending out an asynchronous activity that serves as both practice and the final assignment.
We’re also opening an optional virtual Q&A session before the next in-person meeting. This space will be available for anyone who needs help with specific questions.
We’re nearing the finish line – we hope you’re enjoying the journey so far!
