Summary of Class 2
On June 8, we held Class 2, where we began reflecting on Artificial Intelligence and its presence in our everyday life. We discussed our prior knowledge and analyzed the common elements found in AI-based applications or solutions. Specifically, we focused on the impact of datasets on the prediction criteria of current AI-based applications.
Additionally, we proposed that participants use and analyze different AI-based applications (in the presentation shared below, you can find a table listing the various applications used) to examine the tasks they aim to solve, the input, and the output. The goal was to recognize the wide variety of tasks in which AI is involved, with a particular focus on Generative AI as a subfield.
We also introduced the concept of language models and their current impact. We acknowledged that language models can “hallucinate,” and we explored the biases and stereotypes in language models (such as ChatGPT, Gemini, or Copilot).
