00 – Important Information about the HESEIA Course

General Information about the Classes

The course lasts 5 months, starting in June 2024 and ending in October 2024. Throughout the course, you will have student tutors to support you both in the learning process and in the practical implementation at your schools.

Approval Requirements

To successfully complete the course, you must meet the following requirements:

80% attendance at theoretical classes: You may miss only one in-person class to be eligible for the points awarded by the board.
Submission and approval of a final integrative project: This project should present findings using the EDIA tool and include a qualitative analysis.

Modality

The course combines in-person activities, asynchronous virtual sessions, and hands-on practice in educational institutions. It includes theoretical training and implementation activities in your own classrooms, guided by a team of tutors.

In-person activities:

  • Class 1: Saturday, June 1
  • Class 2: June 8
  • Class 3: July 27
  • Class 4: August 24
  • Class 5: September 28
  • Class 6 and evaluation: Saturday, October 26

Schedule: 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Location: University Campus (Auditorium to be confirmed, details will be sent via email)

Asynchronous virtual activities:
These activities are to be completed during the intervals between in-person classes. They will be available on website and released on specific Wednesdays, which will be communicated via email. Not all Wednesdays will have activities; you’ll be notified in advance.

Practice in educational institutions:
You will be expected to carry out activities related to the EDIA tool with your own students. Further details will be provided during Asynchronous Activity 3 and Class 4, once you’ve become more familiar with the tool.

Communication

The primary communication channel is email. We will send all necessary and important information through this medium.

Emails:

If you are not receiving emails, please write to us with the subject: “I’M NOT RECEIVING EMAILS” and include the necessary information in the body of the message.

If you prefer using WhatsApp, there is a distribution group shared via email. To join, send us an email with your contact details and request, using the subject: “WHATSAPP GROUP REQUEST” and providing the necessary information in the body of the email.

Please be patient, as we sometimes receive a high volume of emails, but we will respond as soon as possible.
